چکیده

Objective: Cardiopulmonary arrest is a devastating outcome of some clinical situations and requires strict implementation cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) protocols. Since ultrasound one the recommended tools to determine presence cardiac movements may be predictor outcome, this study examined relationship between echocardiographic findings during CPR with patients’ outcomes. Methods: This cross-sectional prospective observational was conducted on patients cardio-respiratory in emergency department Shariaty hospital 2019. sampling method random. Echocardiography done at patient’s bedside process accordance last advanced life support (ACLS) guidelines, two points, after end second 10th minutes from start CPR. The echocardiography (cardiac movement vs standstill) were recorded, patient outcomes followed. Thirty-two enrolled mean age 56.9±15.3 years. Chi-square Mann-Whitney U tests used calculate association heart contractions via SPSS V.22. Fisher’s exact test Kruskal-Wallis evaluate rhythm tenth Results: minute CPR, contrast minute, had significant correlation success rate (P<0.05). Moreover, ventricular tachycardia (VT)/ventricular fibrillation (VF) better rate, 24-hour survival than other rhythms asystole Conclusion: Echocardiographic can as prognostic factor for arrest.

The Aassociation between Pre-Cardiac Arrest Comorbidity and Unsuccessful Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Patients with Cardiac Arrest

Background and Objective: Patients suffering from cardiac arrest (CA) have poor prognosis and survival. The association of pre-arrest comorbidity with unsuccessful resuscitation in patients with CA is far from clear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between pre-existing comorbidity and unsuccessful resuscitation following CA in Iranian patients. Materials and Met...

Ultrasound guided chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Background Early and effective chest compressions have a well known pivot role in cardiopulmunary resuscitation (CPR) and 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation have strongly reinforced its importance. The efficacy of chest compressions depends on hands position and on compression technique. Medical education can improve chest compression technique, while the choice of th...

Evaluation of effective factors in the success of resuscitation of patients with in-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest

Background: Previous studies have shown that several factors affect the outcome of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In this study, we have evaluated the factors associated with the outcome of resuscitation in in-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest patients (IHCA) 002E. Methods: This cross-sectional non-probability study was performed on patients with in-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest between 2015 a...

Outcome after cardiopulmonary resuscitation in patients with congenital heart disease.

BACKGROUND Outcome after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in patients with underlying congenital heart disease is uncertain. This study aimed at evaluating outcome after CPR in patients with underlying congenital heart disease, factors related to worse outcome after CPR and whether survivors of sudden cardiac death (SCD) have a worse outcome when compared to an age, gender and disease-matche...

A Medical Team’s Perspective Regarding Presence of the Family Members of Patients during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in the Intensive Care Unit

Introduction: The basic needs of a patient and his/her family members are to be supported during health care and especially during critical situations. One such support is required during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Hence knowing the perspective of medical persons about “Family member’s Presence during Resuscitation” (FPDR) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is important...
